Change Serial Number
The Partition Serial Number is a unique identifier assigned by the Operating System to a disk partition, typically in the format XXXX-XXXX. This serial number is automatically generated and assigned when a disk partition is formatted, and there is no documented way to change it without reformatting the disk volume. However, advanced users can utilize Partition Assistant to modify the serial number for their disk volume without the need for a full reformat.
To change serial number
Step 1. Launch Qiling PartitionAssistant ProfessionalTo change the serial number of a drive, right click on the drive you want to modify and select the option to change the serial number.Advanced" -> "Change Serial Number".
Step 2. In the pop-up window, input the serial number you want, for example, 123456.
Step 3. Press "Proceed" button to commit the pending operation.
