With the rapid development of technology, a new storage device called SSD (solid state drive) has emerged, offering faster speeds and better performance. As a result, many people are now transferring their operating system and all their data from old hard drives to SSDs, which not only shortens boot times but also enhances the overall performance of their computers.
Many users prefer SanDisk SSDs for their outstanding performance, but to keep their old data, they need to clone their existing hard drive to the new SanDisk SSD, which requires SanDisk SSD cloning software.
Unlike Crucial and Samsung SSDs, SanDisk SSDs do not have a disk migration tool. To migrate data to a SanDisk SSD, users can only resort to the traditional method of copying and pasting. However, an alternative solution is available in the form of Qiling Disk Master Professional, a software that can facilitate data migration for Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11.
💻 Disk Clone |
This software can assist you in migrating all data from a traditional Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to a SanDisk Solid-State Drive (SSD), including the operating system, programs, and user profile, among other data. |
💾 Partition Clone |
You can copy a specific partition to another partition, supporting all common file systems such as NTFS, FAT32, and Ext4. |
⚙ Clone Modes |
Clonezilla offers the sector-by-sector clone option to make an exact copy of the source disk/partition, or intelligent clone, which allows cloning large HDD to smaller SSD if the option is omitted. |
📃 VSS Service |
With this cutting-edge technology, you can perform a "Hot Clone," allowing the cloning process to take place smoothly without interrupting your current activities. |
To clone your SSD, download and install SSD cloning software on your computer.
To migrate OS and data from a hard disk drive (HDD) to a SanDisk solid-state drive (SSD) safely, follow these steps. First, ensure the SanDisk SSD is properly connected to the computer and its firmware is up-to-date.
Note: If your SanDisk SSD is not empty, backup any files on it beforehand, as the destination disk will be completely overwritten during the cloning process.
Step 1. Connect your SanDisk SSD to your computer and launch the SanDisk cloning software, Qiling Disk Master. Then, click on "Clone" and select "Disk Clone" to migrate all data to the SanDisk SSD.
Tip: To migrate only the operating system to a SanDisk SSD, you can use the System Clone feature. This feature allows you to create a duplicate of your current OS on the new SSD, which can then be used as a replacement for the old one.
Step 2. Here, select the original disk as the source disk. Click Next.
Step 3. Select the SanDisk SSD you connected before as the destination disk, and click Next.
Step 4. To confirm the information of both disks and set up necessary settings, confirm the details of both disks and ensure the SSD alignment is enabled to optimize the SanDisk SSD after cloning. Then, click Proceed to initiate the cloning process.
Helpful Tips:
👉 Edit Partitions: There are 4 options available to help you resize partitions or convert disk types.
👉 Sector by sector clone: The command will copy all sectors on the hard drive, which is not recommended for cloning a corrupted disk or a smaller disk, as it will also copy bad sectors and unused parts.
👉 To get more space, you can clone your SSD to a larger one, or for optimal performance, clone your Windows 10 to an NVMe SSD, which has significantly faster transfer speeds.
👉 This software is an M.2 SSD cloner that allows you to migrate Windows 10 to an M.2 SSD, clone an M.2 SSD to another M.2 SSD, and perform other related tasks.
If you're looking for a prime SanDisk SSD data migration software, Qiling Disk Master is a great option. It's not only designed for SanDisk SSDs but also compatible with other brands like Samsung, Crucial, and more. You can use it to clone data from a hard drive to a Kingston SSD with ease, making it a versatile tool for your data transfer needs.
Qiling Disk Master is a powerful backup and recovery software that can also be used to set up continuous data protection for your computer after cloning, allowing you to keep it installed and use it to protect your data.
